BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College recently hired RH Perry & Associates to facilitate the search for Bethany’s 21st president after the Rev. Dr. Tamara Nichols Rodenberg’s retirement in December.
Since its founding in 1974 by Robert H. Perry, the firm has conducted more than 1,000 higher education searches.
Headquartered in Asheville, N.C., RH Perry and Associates has offices in California, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Dr. Jamie Caridi began a term as interim president of Bethany College in January, which also marked the introduction of a new three-year strategic plan, Build for a Lifetime.
Representatives from RH Perry & Associates, Dr. John M. Hutchinson and Matthew J. Kilcoyne, will visit Bethany April 10-12 to tour campus and meet with various stakeholders.
Open forums are set for faculty (11:30 a.m. April 11 and 8 a.m. April 12), students (2:15 p.m. April 11 and 10:30 a.m. April 12) and staff (3:30 p.m. April 11 and 9:15 a.m. April 12).
Alumni are invited to a discussion at 2 p.m. April 12.
All forums will be in the Academic Parlour in the upper floor of Old Main.
Kilcoyne is the managing partner of RH Perry. Since joining the firm in 2002, he has led or supported more than 225 presidential and senior administrative search assignments.
Hutchinson has more than 35 years of experience in higher education as a teacher and administrator. He served as president of three private colleges and a public university and is former commissioner of higher education for the Montana University System.
